The Evaluation of the a ward ceremony.

We had already planned for the final day for the award which was 23, june.2008.We had
Divided ourselves in groups with different jobs allocation, in group of three, me, Anirban and Joel we had chosen to do Radio advert. We come up with the plan on how we were going to produce the advert. We wanted to use the sound track into our advert. But because we did not have our own we are hopping to down load one from the internet of which it was illegal and in that case we didn’t do it.

Apart from getting sound track of own we also had some other reasons that made us limited on what we were trying to do, We wanted also to prolong the advert with some sound effects from the internet but we couldn’t do that because we couldn’t get the right effects and the one we got looked irrelevant because of the type of the ceremony we were planning for.

According to our budget, we had a total amount of £ 410.and this was just a rough estimate, but we knew the really budget might be even more of what we had done but still this was more than what we could afford. We also thought of presenting our Advert with so many copies but we thought that it would need printing using good quality paper material that would still cost us so much.

Apart from working in a group of three for the advertisement, I was part of post production team specifically working on montage. This was hard tusk that we needed commitments. I, Joel and Alex we had to discuss how we were going to manage the tusk. Nina being the Group leader was helpful to our achievement. She was monitoring our progress from one stage to the other. I myself helped to select those climax clips and put them together, I was also responsible to the work we were given to do.

Before we grouped ourselves into our production teams, we had couple of meetings with our tutor, just to discuss on our progress and also to allocate other jobs that we needed to do during the Award ceremony i.e. The ushers of the day, We also Voted on the different occasions, things such as the Poster, Logo, suitable colours for designing the a ward. We also nominated the best videos, within ourselves.

We were able to get our tusks done on the time because we had set the deadlines and we argued the croup members to work as a team. We also divided roles into individuals to reinforce the work. For example the deadline for the advert was for one week which was not very easy for us to do it since meeting hours was limited due to other lessons but still we were able to meet the dateline.

The feedback
Am so happy and very proud that we managed to do all this in time, and the outcome was so pleasant, after the ward ceremony, I heard tutors and the guardians saying that the plan and the presentation of the ward was very nice and that they really enjoyed it. And as part of my view, it was beyond my expectation. It was seen so professional.

I do believe that my contribution towards the a ward was so useful and very profesional.Because of the kind of response and the feedback we got from the tutors, parents and my fellow students, I worked hand in hand with my teachers for a period of one month towards the a ward just to make sure that whatever I was doing was the right thing, I also worked very well as a team to safe time, I kept my record towards everything I did, and the prove is on my blog on the internet. I participated fully during in class and outside the class. My contribution towards the post production team was very good; I worked together with my three members of the team on montage. We were putting the nominee’s best video clips together and we actually did it professionally. I was one of the ushers on the awards ceremony, I was directing the guests into their sitting places, I also helped with the information that they needed. I witnessed everything upto the end of the ceremony, and I thought that was fantastic.

Today's survey at the Venue.(Hawth theatre)

I looked at healthy & safety, took some picture

  • Theres no much to do about health &safety since most of it is already covered.the only thing i could see was the open cables hanging about.

  • The moveble lighting stands which iam sure they will be moved before the day of the event.

  • The wiring is already in good shape.

I looke at The Accomondation.

  • The Room itself looks a bit small according to me,for the reasons that maybe turn out would be in big size,

I looked at sitting arrangement,

  • According to the siitting arrangement,we will need to put some more sits at the front because the sits might not be enough,I think two more rows will be enough.

  • looked at the location of the toilets.

  • Looked at private room where changing and hair do may take place

I looked at the private rooms

  • Toilets are in good condition

  • changing room is available and very much enough.
